Introduction
If you have stepped outside into a garden before, you have for sure seen these little fellas. While their scientific name 'Armadillidium' might not be familliar to you, names such as: pill bugs; roly-polys; or woodlouse. Their mainly known for their ability to turn into small little balls when scared. Apparently there are a few simillar millipedes that often get misidentified as these fellas due to their close appearance and ability to roll into a ball. The ball rolling ability is also called volvation, but that words kinda weird so I'll refrain from repeating it.
Scientific Classification
Ah, my favourite part of science! Not. I was a tenth-grade drop out and had religiously failed all of my science and math classes throughout Highschool. I distinctly remember sitting in the middle row of science classroom, with my favourite teacher, but never grasping a single thing about animal kingdoms and classifications. It was during that year I cemented the fact that I would never pursue any further education or jobs that required me to sit and learn this. Here i am three and a half years later writing a page dedicated to an isopod that i'm part obsessed with and terrified of.
Anyways, ramble over.
